Do we go through tunnels on the canal?
On some canals, yes, but you have a bright light to light up your way and good lights inside. Any crew who really don't want to boat through can walk over the tunnel. Many tunnels are not wide enough for boats to pass, so you only enter when you can see the tunnel is clear. Some longer tunnels allow one-way traffic through at certain times.
