How do we turn the canal boat around?

Most of our boats are too long to be able to turn around on a normal stretch of canal. However there are special wide places every few miles along the canals, known as 'winding holes', where you can turn the boat. (They are pronounced like the 'wind' that blows!) They are marked on all the canal maps and guides.

When you pick the boat up we will show you how to turn the boat. Basically it is a bit like doing a three point turn in a car, except it has a lot more 'points' usually!
